About Me
My backstory and how I landed one of the coolest jobs in the world: director of social media strategy, content creation, and community for tech and innovation brands based in the Bay Area and beyond.
A 30-second spot for the "incredible edible" toothpaste, safe for kids to eat while fighting cavities. I was enthralled with the entire creative process, from storyboarding and scripting to painstakingly recording and re-recording on my grandma's ancient tape deck. A core memory.
I remember making my first ad when I was 9...

First to UC Berkeley as a wide-eyed English major far away from home for the first time. Then to NYC as a poor proofreader by day and SAT tutor to rich city kids by night. I moved back to the Bay Area, landing my first marketing job as a copywriter and eventually my first social media role as part of the Clorox meme team, brainstorming cat joke tweets for Fresh Step and ranch vs. ketchup viral videos for Hidden Valley Ranch. I was finally home.
Fast-forward twenty years....
I married a motorcycle mechanic turned gardener, became a very lucky mom to an amazing boy, and developed a proven track record of establishing organic social, influencer, and community as key integrated marketing programs for several more global Fortune 500 companies like Cisco, Charles Schwab, Gap Inc., and Walmart. Time flies when you're having fun, making a family, and staying ahead of social trends.
In the last decade...

I don't just focus on the fun stuff. As a battle-tested communications leader, I have built my fair share of social process documents and governance guidelines with cross-functional teams to proactively identify risks and cultivate positive share of voice across social platforms.
From PR and product to compliance and creative, I excel at collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop creative social media campaigns, content, and communities that inspire action and deliver measurable, award-winning results. Read case studies here.
